three classic products 1050\u00b0<\/a><\/strong> they traveled to new york to be exhibited in the moma store and four artisans joined the trip! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, MoMa Shop selected sixty-two Mexican designers to participate in Destination: Mexico<\/strong>, a chapter of his Destination: Design series, a biannual event to showcase the best of design in a specific place in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

three products of 1050\u00b0<\/a><\/strong> were selected and exhibited in stores in New York and Tokyo: little pigs<\/a> red clay, Bartola Jug<\/a> and the blue Zandunga mezcaleritos. This was the first time that handmade clay from Oaxaca was exhibited in the MoMa store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to celebrate by attending the opening with four artisans: Alberta<\/strong> and Macrina Mateo<\/strong> (Tlapazola), silvia garcia<\/strong> and Estela Cardozo<\/strong> (Coyotepec). They documented this wonderful journey on video after a short introductory workshop with William Monteforte<\/strong>, of Ojo de Agua Communication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
